I was at Skomer Island yesterday and there are always swallows nesting in the toilet block there - not exactly where I'd choose to raise my kids lol! It does make taking a comfort break a pleasant experience though when there are baby swallows lined up on the ledge above the cubicle!Sharon Whitleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00403989834480218330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3003192502289547336.post-47694918451221604332017-05-25T19:47:59.639+01:002017-05-25T19:47:59.639+01:00Noushka....The last Squacco Heron record I found w...Noushka....The last Squacco Heron record I found was at Erith, London June 2007, a rare vagrant in Britain. I did...Hi Pete,
Thanks for your comment on my blog.
I didn't know whether the Squacco heron could be seen in the UK or not.
At least now I know it can be found although rarely seen. Not too scarse in France but difficult to observe, it easier in Camargue, south-est of France.
I just love this heather photo you took it reminds me of of some places of Scotland!
Sorry to read about the Oystercatcher's nest, would it have been in south Africa I could have removed the eggs and hatched them in my incubators...
Enjoy your long weekend, I hope you will have the same glorious weather we're enjoying now :)Noushkahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11583459949373167021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3003192502289547336.post-25297730681175314992017-05-25T07:36:35.307+01:002017-05-25T07:36:35.307+01:00I'll still be keepig an eye on your wanderings...I'll still be keepig an eye on your wanderings pete ;-).

Shame about that oystercatchers nest!Warren Bakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16042798315431561018noreply@blogger.com
